My Story

Hi! My name is Maxime, a Dutch girl by nationality but not so much by identity 😉 Since I was a little girl I’ve always felt an ache of going somewhere different and doing something different than others.  Back then I could hardly put into words what this ache was about. Until I moved to Spain at the age of 17, then it all made sense. I feel most at home when I’m discovering new countries, learning new cultures, languages and when I meet people from all different backgrounds and stages of life. So ever since my 17th, I’ve been doing exactly that! 

From this base of exploring and discovering I created MaxieTravels. With the goal to help others with this sensation to go past their comfort zone, to start living their wildest dreams NOW, not when they retire, but right in this moment!

There is so much beauty out there for you to discover and while you’re doing that, the beauty inside of you will grow as well. There is nothing as rewarding as stepping out of your comfort zone and showing yourself you’re a badass for doing so. To find out you can always count on yourself first. These are the moments you will cherish forever.
